Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of Nerve and its community-management features.

Last updated: July 29, 2026
By adding Nerve to a Discord server or using its features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nerve.

1. About Nerve

Nerve is a modular game-community management platform designed to connect Discord communities, staff, members, administrative tools, and supported game servers through one organized system.

Features may include activity and time tracking, staff management, reports, statistics, administrative records, server setup tools, disciplinary records, and game-server integrations.

Some features may be under development, limited to testing, or unavailable for certain servers.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms apply to server owners, administrators, staff members, and other users who interact with Nerve.

Server owners and administrators who add or configure Nerve confirm that they have authority to do so on behalf of their community.

3. Discord Requirements

You must be permitted to use Discord under the laws applicable to you and must comply with Discord's:

Nerve is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Discord Inc.

4. Server Administrator Responsibilities

Server owners and administrators are responsible for:

  • Configuring Nerve and its permissions appropriately.
  • Limiting administrative commands and sensitive records to authorized users.
  • Informing members when their activity, time, or administrative records are being tracked.
  • Ensuring their use of Nerve complies with applicable laws, agreements, and community policies.
  • Reviewing important records before using them to make administrative or disciplinary decisions.
  • Removing Nerve or disabling features that are no longer needed.

Nerve does not control how independently operated Discord communities use information produced through the service.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use Nerve to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against, or abuse another person.
  • Collect, expose, or misuse personal information without proper authorization.
  • Falsify clock records, activity statistics, reports, qualifications, or administrative records.
  • Gain unauthorized access to Nerve, its connected services, or another community's information.
  • Exploit bugs, bypass restrictions, disrupt operations, or overload the service.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute protected parts of Nerve without permission.
  • Use Nerve in a way that violates Discord's rules or the rights of another person or organization.

6. Permissions and Connected Services

Nerve requires certain Discord permissions to perform requested functions. Individual features may stop working if required permissions, channels, roles, integrations, or database access are removed or incorrectly configured.

Future game-server integrations may require separate configuration, credentials, plugins, or authorization. Communities are responsible for ensuring they are authorized to connect those systems.

7. Records, Reports, and Statistics

Nerve may generate clock records, activity totals, statistics, punishment histories, staff records, and other administrative information from user actions and connected systems.

These records may contain mistakes caused by configuration errors, outages, delayed updates, incorrect commands, unauthorized use, or information received from third-party systems.

Nerve records are not guaranteed payroll, legal, employment, or official disciplinary records. Communities should independently verify important information before relying on it.

8. Privacy and Data

Nerve may process Discord user IDs, server IDs, role and channel information, interaction records, time records, administrative records, and information supplied through enabled integrations.

Details about collection, use, retention, and deletion will be explained in the Nerve Privacy Policy.

9. Availability and Service Changes

Nerve is provided on an “as available” basis. Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

Features may be added, changed, restricted, suspended, or removed as Nerve develops. Maintenance, technical problems, Discord changes, connected-service outages, or security concerns may temporarily affect availability.

10. Suspension and Termination

Access to Nerve may be limited, suspended, or terminated when a user or community:

  • Violates these Terms.
  • Misuses Nerve or its data.
  • Creates a security or operational risk.
  • Attempts to interfere with the service.
  • Uses Nerve for illegal, harmful, or abusive activity.

A community may stop using Nerve at any time by removing the bot from its Discord server. Removing the bot may not automatically delete previously stored records.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Nerve is provided without express or implied warranties, including warranties of availability, accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

You are responsible for determining whether Nerve is appropriate for your community and for maintaining any independent records or backups your organization requires.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nerve and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from use of or inability to use the service.

This includes lost data, incorrect records, service interruptions, configuration mistakes, unauthorized actions, disciplinary decisions, lost opportunities, or problems caused by Discord, game servers, or other third-party services.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when Nerve's features, practices, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will identify the newest version.

Continued use of Nerve after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the revised Terms.

14. Contact

A dedicated Nerve support server and public support email are not currently available. Updated contact options will be published on the Nerve website when available.

Server administrators should discontinue use and remove Nerve if they do not agree with these Terms or its current support availability.
