1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Nerve Discord bot, the Nerve website, future web-management features, and supported game-server integrations.
Nerve is a game-community management platform designed to connect Discord communities, staff, administrative tools, activity records, and supported game servers.
2. Information Nerve May Collect
The information collected depends on which features a community enables and how members interact with Nerve.
Discord account information may include:
- Discord user IDs.
- Usernames, display names, and profile images.
- Server, role, channel, and permission IDs.
- Discord server names and configuration information.
Interaction and activity information may include:
- Commands, buttons, and other direct interactions with Nerve.
- Dates and times associated with actions.
- Clock-in, clock-out, session, and activity records.
- Statistics generated from recorded activity.
Administrative information may include:
- Staff roles, departments, ranks, and qualifications.
- Promotions, disciplinary actions, and punishment records.
- Reports, notes, reasons, and records submitted by authorized users.
- Audit information showing who performed an administrative action.
Game-server information may include:
- Player identifiers and linked Discord accounts.
- Server connection or activity status.
- Authorized activity supplied by supported integrations.
- Events needed to provide enabled management features.
Nerve does not request Discord passwords or payment-card information. Nerve does not intentionally collect private message content unless a user directly submits information through a supported command or feature.
3. How Information Is Collected
Information may be received:
- From Discord when Nerve is installed or used.
- When users interact with commands, buttons, or forms.
- When authorized administrators enter administrative records.
- From connected game servers and approved integrations.
- Automatically when Nerve performs requested operations.
4. How Information Is Used
Nerve may process information to:
- Respond to commands and user interactions.
- Provide clocking, activity, reporting, and statistics features.
- Maintain community and staff administrative records.
- Connect Discord accounts with supported game servers.
- Apply server-specific roles, permissions, and configurations.
- Maintain audit histories and investigate misuse.
- Secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the service.
- Comply with applicable legal requirements.
Nerve does not sell personal information or use Discord data for third-party advertising.
5. Server Administrators
Each Discord community operates independently. Server owners and administrators determine which Nerve modules are enabled, who may access them, and what administrative information authorized users enter.
Administrators are responsible for limiting access to sensitive records, informing members about tracking, responding appropriately to member concerns, and complying with applicable laws and community policies.
Members should contact their server administrators regarding how their community uses information produced through Nerve.
6. How Information May Be Shared
Information may be made available to:
- Authorized administrators and members of the Discord server in which the information was recorded.
- Discord, when required to operate commands, interactions, and other Discord features.
- Infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare, which hosts Nerve and its database services.
- Supported game-server integrations enabled by an authorized community administrator.
- Government authorities or other parties when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.
Information is not shared with unrelated third parties except when directed by the user, required to provide an enabled feature, or required by law.
7. Data Retention
Nerve retains information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide enabled features, maintain authorized administrative histories, protect the service, or comply with legal obligations.
Clock records, disciplinary histories, reports, and audit records may remain after a member leaves a Discord server when the community continues using Nerve and the record remains necessary for the feature for which it was collected.
Information will be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer necessary, when a valid deletion request applies, when Discord requires deletion, or when required by law.
Removing Nerve from a server does not necessarily cause every record to be deleted immediately. Server owners should separately request deletion of stored server information when removing Nerve.
8. Data Access, Correction, and Deletion
Depending on applicable law and the type of record involved, users may request:
- Information about data associated with their Discord account.
- Correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion or anonymization of eligible information.
- Restriction of certain processing.
- A copy of eligible personal information.
Some information may be retained when necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or the rights of other users. Administrative records submitted by a community may also require verification with that community's administrators.
A direct public privacy-request method is still being established while Nerve is in development. Before Nerve becomes broadly available, this page will be updated with a dedicated contact method for access, correction, and deletion requests.
9. Data Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Access to database information is limited to the service and authorized administration. However, no online service or storage system can guarantee complete security.
Users and administrators should protect their Discord accounts, restrict administrative permissions, and report suspected unauthorized access.
10. Children and Age Requirements
Nerve is intended for users who are permitted to use Discord under Discord's age requirements and applicable law.
Nerve is not designed to knowingly collect information directly from children who are not permitted to use Discord. If such information is identified, it may be deleted.
11. Third-Party Services
Nerve depends on services operated by other organizations, including Discord and Cloudflare. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Future integrations will be identified when they are made available.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Nerve's features, data practices, service providers, or legal obligations change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will identify the newest version. Material changes may also be announced through the Nerve website or Discord features when appropriate.
13. Contact
Nerve is currently in development and does not yet have a dedicated public support email or support server. Updated privacy-contact information will be published here before broad public availability.
Until then, server-specific questions should be directed to the administrators of the Discord community using Nerve.
